do plants in an aquarium need food?

i just got one small jungle vallisneria, do i need to feed it or will it get enough nutrients from the water?

vals are a pain — if you don't feed them they look anemic — if you do feed them they take over your tank. enjoy.

If there are fish inside, it will get enough nutrients from them. If not, it will need regular fertilizer. They make liquid types for just such an occasion.

It depends if you have well water or city water. i asked the same question. if you have well water you do not need food. but if you have city water you do.

You need to add Plant Food once a week. I have a 220 litre tank and add 25mls.
